its not bad but very pop and boring compare to afrodisiac. and it sounds like everything else that is on the radio and she uses too much of the vocoder.

Album is amazing!
It's very pop, kinda missing the urban vibe from Afrodisiac,
but I like this direction, vocals are great, beats are great... My fave is The Definition and Camouflage & Piano Man!
It wouldve been nice if Drum Life wouldve been on the album aswell, 'cause i think the vibe would fit the album!
Also Acapella is very interesting, very good idea, it's special!
The only thing I didn't like so much is Fall, i really prefer the demo version it sounded more real, i'd radther see the instrumental part than the added bridge, and the re-recorded vocals don't have that wow effect, but still it's a nice song
i give this album a 9.0 out of 10

I like the album. It is simple and pop like most of you mentioned but it worked for her. It's nothing for the history books but, nonetheless, its a keeper
We had a real disappointing year of albums.

Im a little dissappointed and before everyone comes down on me ill explain,
Brandy is R&B/Urban and it feels like she's gone the'AMERICAN IDOL' route very pop. I listen to the sons on this album and it feels like jordan sparks or David Archlette whatever his name is could have sang the songs. What happened to the street brandy? 'I wanna be down', 'sittin up in my room' , 'the boy is mine'. 'sittin on top of the world' 'full moon', 'afrodidiac'? i miss that!
The only songs i like on this album are:
'WARM IT UP WITH LOVE' this deserves to be a single....
'1ST & LOVE'
and
'DEFINITION'
Ive tried so hard to like 'right here departed' and 'long distance' but to me they are way too pop.
I miss the old Brandy.

in the words of brandy she has grown out of that stage. She's a mommy now shes going for a more mature sound.

I completly agree with britneyfan:
If you compare her vocals from the 'Never Say Never' album to 'Human, and 'Afro' you can tell that her stupid brother Ray J has influenced her vocals. He always sounds like he's suffering from astma and brandy is heading the same way. She should just keep her voice sweet and smooth. Monica's voice has stayed the same since the miss thang album, mya's voice has stayed the same since her first album, so why cant Bran do the same?

Ohhhhh No Monica sounds wayyyy different from Miss Thang to her new stuff. WAYYYY different. Monica used to have this weird edge to her voice. She sounded funny sometimes. As she got older she sings more refined now! I LOVED how she sang on her first album, wish she still sang with that weirdness! It was different. I miss how Brandy used to sing too, same with her. First album she sang different from all the rest.

this is a ok album from brandy, in my opinion itz not her best, itz still good but afrodisiac has to be her best effort as of new direction, sound, vocals, and lyrics. timbaland and candice nelson hooked brandy up and she really went in on dat album i wish brandy wouldve tried to be a lil more adventurous as she did on da last but i understand she wanted 2 keep things simple and wanted 2 b safe since u c da result of afrodisiac, even though it was due to lack of promotion. she just tryna get back on top, best track on album to me right now is "shattered heart" idk i had that song on repeat for the whole day. and the whole melody repeating is kinda true and the whole pop sound dis time, i just wish she wouldve just let timbo had a lil control on dis album or the neptunes or kanye and it wouldve been fire. itz still a good effort and itz short. drum life and home wouldve been a great on dis 2 it couldve fit. but love brandy, waiting 4 dis new monica and aaliyah unreleased album.
